Meet Lucent Audio: Elevating Audiobook Production for Visionary Authors

If you’re an author who leads—a CEO, thought leader, or entrepreneur—your audiobook should reflect the same caliber and excellence as your brand. That’s why I launched Lucent Audio, a boutique audiobook production company built for visionary authors who value quality, efficiency, and white-glove service.

Why I Started Lucent Audio

I’ve been producing audiobooks for over 16 years, working with everyone from Big Five publishers to independent houses to self-published authors. I’ve seen the inside of massive audiobook factories that churn out thousands of titles a year, and I’ve worked in smaller studios that struggled to navigate the complexity of audiobook production.

I founded Lucent Audio because I knew there was a better way—a premium, author-first experience built on excellence, not volume.

At Lucent Audio, we focus on delivering pristine, polished audiobooks that match your voice, your values, and your vision. You won’t be passed from salesperson to project manager to producer. Your audiobook won’t be sliced up between four editors and six mastering engineers. We believe your book is coherent—your audiobook should be too.

When workflows are spread too thin, you lose two critical things:

  1. A real relationship with your producer, and

  2. A consistent, creative approach to post-production.

Editing an audiobook isn’t just technical—it’s an art. And when too many hands are involved, the end result can lose cohesion.

Who We Serve

Our clients are visionaries, entrepreneurs, founders, and experts—authors who’ve written the book on what they do best. They want a partner, not just a vendor. Someone who handles every detail, protects their time, and elevates their story with care and craftsmanship.

That’s what we do. At Lucent Audio, we provide concierge-level service with a small, experienced team who know the stakes and deliver on our promise:
Precision. Polish. Professionalism.

Our Process

We offer a premium audiobook production package designed for voices that lead.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Initial Consult – You’ll meet directly with me to talk through your project and our production process.

  2. Narrator Matchmaking

    • Want to narrate yourself? We’ll set you up for success with a top-tier studio, a seasoned narration coach, and guidance every step of the way (you may even get me in the booth with you!).

    • Prefer a professional narrator? We’ll handpick a curated selection of voice auditions that align with your tone and audience.

  3. Pronunciation Research – Before recording starts, we conduct an in-depth terminology and name check that you sign off on.

  4. Recording & Post-Production – After recording, we handle editing, quality control, and mastering with our trusted, long-term team—people I’ve worked with for years. We keep the team small to maintain consistency and creative alignment.

  5. Final Delivery – Your audiobook will be clean, dynamic, and broadcast-quality: professional narration, quiet natural breaths, and a consistent, polished soundscape.

We remove anything that doesn’t serve your story: clicks, pops, plosives, mouth noise—you name it.

Our Commitment

We don’t mass-produce. We limit the number of clients we work with so we can give each author our full attention.

When you work with Lucent Audio:

  • You’re never one of hundreds in a production queue.

  • You’ll always hear from us within 24 hours.

  • You’ll know your project is in expert hands.

We’re not an audiobook factory. We’re a high-end, boutique production company that brings care, craft, and clarity to every project.

What’s Next

We’re building a blog series to serve as a resource hub for authors who care about quality. Whether you're just starting or preparing to publish your third title, you'll find insights to guide your journey.

Until then, explore our website, reach out with questions, and let’s talk about how we can bring your words to life in a format that reflects your excellence.

Audiobook production doesn’t have to be confusing or frustrating. With the right partner, it can be seamless, professional—and even fun.
